Where can I pay my NJ American water bill? ›

We have agreements with hundreds of merchants in our service areas where you can pay your bill in person. These locations include supermarkets, drug stores and other local merchants.

First try to recover your Login ID again by clicking on “Forgot User ID?” and use another one of your email addresses. If resetting your Login ID does not work and you are already a customer, please sign up for MyWater by going to https://mywater.amwater.com/ and clicking on the “Sign Up” button.

You can pay for your water bill through any of our accredited payment facilities — via over-the-counter payment centers, over-the-counter bank payments, phone banking, online banking, mobile wallet, or through the Manila Water App.

American Water / Customer service

American Water has an investor relations app for iPhone, iPad and Android mobile devices. It is available for free at Apple's App Store for the iPhone and iPad, and at Google Play for Android devices.

Call 1-855-748-6066 to pay with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or your bank account (Electronic Check). Be sure to have your 16 digit account number handy which can be found on your bill.

To request installation of a new water service to a property, please contact our Customer Service Center at 1-800-272-1325, M-F, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., so we may begin the process. Upon receipt of your information, New Jersey American Water will review your request to verify water service is available to your property.

We serve Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz and San Mateo counties. Help may be obtained by calling our toll-free number at 1-888-728-3637. You may leave your full name, mailing address, home phone number, and daytime phone number and an application will be mailed to you within 2-3 business days.

In Person at EMWD

You can pay your bill in person at the EMWD Main Office located at 2270 Trumble Road in Perris. The Main Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

You can pay through the PrimeWater App via AllBank, Digital Partners, QR Ph Partners, and PayMongo. Should you feel the need to transact personally, you are most welcome to drop by at our PrimeWater Office where we will be able to process payments regardless if it is Current or Past Due.

LIHWAP will provide up to a maximum benefit of $4,000 per service (water and sewer).

Grants. Customers who qualify may receive a grant of up to $500 to help pay their water bill. To qualify for this program, customers must be at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level. NOTE: Grants are available to qualifying customers once every three years for indoor water use only.
